Hello, my name is Elenielle Ong and I’m a 15 year-old Taekwondo athlete from Team Forge in Fort Worth, Texas. I started Taekwondo at 6 years old (more like a tag-along with my older brother), and fell in love instantly! Today, I’m a Kukkiwon Certified 3rd degree Black Belt. While simply just doing taekwondo was fun for me when I was young, I wanted to test my skills. To this day, competing in poomsae brings me a drive and energy that I wouldn’t feel anywhere else. This drive has fueled me to be a 4-time and current National Team Member, 3-time and current Texas State Team Member, 5-time G-rated World Taekwondo International Tournament Gold Medalist, 2025 National Champion, and multiple-time State Champion across different states.

Currently, I’m training and preparing for the 2026 World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships, coming this September, in Chuncheon, South Korea. The chance to represent our country at the World Championships, to go against the best in the world from other countries, and get a shot at becoming a World Champion, is the dream I’ve been chasing for as long as I can remember. Taekwondo has always brought me joy but, more importantly, many life lessons on and off the mat.

My goal is to raise $5,000 to help cover expenses for this trip. While I’ve made the National Team several times, I’ve missed opportunities to represent the US on at national-team only events. It would mean everything to me if you can be a part of my debut in representing the USA on the biggest stage. When I made my first national team as an 11 year old, that feeling of having a special title like that gave me more confidence to keep improving - landing me a spot at the World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships.
